2013 Indoor Handball Season

After a successful beach handball competition, it's time to hit the court again as the 2013 indoor handball season gets underway in Adelaide.

As last year, West Adelaide Handball Club and Southern Handball Club will field teams in the indoor competition, which will feature both women's and men's divisions.

Games will be played on Sunday afternoons, between 3pm and 6pm, at Underdale Catholic College, Hartley Road (corner with Holbrooks Road), Underdale.

Everyone is welcome, both players and supporters. We would love to see you there!

2013 Australian Handball Championships

Handball SA is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 2013 Australian Handball Championships once again in Adelaide.

The tournament, featuring the best state teams and players in Australia, will be held on 10-13 October 2013 at Netball SA Stadium.

This will be the second year in a row that the event has been held in South Australia, and only the second time in 21 years.

We are incredibly proud to have been given this great opportunity again, and after the overwhelming success of last year's event, we look forward to another great championships.

Wanted: Handball SA Treasurer

Handball SA is looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to take on the role of Treasurer.

We are hoping to find someone who can assist the Handball SA Board with: maintaining the bank account, making payments to suppliers, collating and reporting membership information for our players, and other related tasks.

The time commitment is minimal; most things can be done in your own time, and there is only one Board meeting to attend per month.

No prior experience is necessary; you will just need an open mind, good organisation skills and a ability to work with Microsoft Office software.

Come and Try Handball

West Adelaide Handball Club is hosting a Come and Try Day this Tuesday, 30 April 2013. Everyone is invited to attend, to try your hand at our fast-paced and exciting sport. We will provide some fun activities to get you in the handball spirit, teach you the rules, ad give you plenty of opportunity to try the sport for yourself.

It is completely free of charge, and open to everyone. Invite your friends or colleagues, and bring a willingness to try something new.
